Once you have made the decision to purchase land the sale process is made as effortless as possible. However we are sure that you understand that there is a reasonable amount of legal paperwork to complete as this is a property sale.
Keats will handle all the details ensuring that the land is registered to you. You are then the 100% legal owner of the land. When you’re dealing with Keats we do not hold land on your behalf or on the behalf of anyone else. Upon the completion of the sale the deeds will be sent to you or your legal representative.
Step by step guide
- Discuss your needs and budget with one of our consultants
- Review the selections presented
- Reserve the plot of your choice
- Full costs and any required tax or administration costs will be sent to you for approval
- Legal documentation will be couriered to your address
- Review this with your legal representative
- Complete and return the documentation including anti money laundering documents and legal proof of identity
- Appoint a legal representative in the country of purchase (this can be done via Keats or independently)
- Your legal representative will then sign for the land on your behalf
- The deeds will then be transferred from the existing owner into your name or the name of your choice
- The deeds are lodged which the local land registry and a copy sent to you
- You are now the full legal owner of your land
